Earn Your CDL at Phoenix Truck Driving School

If you are an active-duty military member, veteran, or a family member of someone in the military, Phoenix Truck Driving School at Fort Bliss can help you obtain your commercial driver's license (CDL). Becoming a truck driver is a great way to transition into the civilian workforce and earn competitive pay.

High Demand for Truck Drivers

The demand for truck drivers continues to grow due to a shortage of qualified CDL holders. Because of this, many motor carriers offer incentives such as a higher salary, more time off, and signing bonuses. Truckers can earn more than $76,000* per year and there are many great career opportunities within this industry.

Benefits of a Truck Driving Career

  • FREEDOM OF THE OPEN ROAD
Trucking is a lifestyle as much as it is a job and many drivers love the freedom of the open road. If you choose over-the-road (OTR) driving, you will haul goods and materials across the country and see many unique places. This allows you to see the beauty of our nation from the cab of your truck.
  • GREAT PAY
Truckers can earn more than $76,000 a year.* In addition to the high pay, many trucking companies offer competitive benefits packages that include medical, dental, and vision insurance. Retirement plans and paid time off may also be available depending on the motor carrier.
  • EASY TRANSITION
Many military members find that trucking is an excellent industry for those transitioning out of active service. Trucking uses many of the same skills you have already learned, which makes the transition into a new career easier.
  • QUICK TRAINING
Our program at Phoenix Truck Driving School can take as little as four weeks to complete. This is far less time than the specialized training that is required to enter some fields.
  • SERVICE
As a member of the military, you understand the value of service and may want to continue to contribute meaningfully to your country in the civilian workforce. Truck driving is absolutely essential to our nation's economy and without truckers, many other industries would cease to function.
  • JOB SECURITY
There is a nationwide shortage of truck drivers and because these individuals are so essential, many companies are actively working to grow their fleets. This translates into excellent job security and this means you won't need to go through the job application process over and over after graduation or transition from the military.
